Dear Zachary | 9 Months

Happy 9 months Zach!

Has it really been 3/4 of a year already? Geez! Time is really flying by with you, but I wouldn't trade it for the world.

You are still considered my Chunky Monkey, especially with the fact that you can almost eat non-stop. You are starting to be a bit picky with new foods that I give you, but you will try them, and after a while (most times), you realize that it's more food to fill you up and have no problems chowing down. You're not too happy that we're almost done weaning from breastfeeding, but with my Maternity leave up at the end of the month (and Mommy & Daddy going way for our anniversary), it's time to take you off. And you're getting into the habit of biting Mommy while nursing, so it's just extra incentive to get you off. Although it would be nice if you would take a sippy cup (or even a bottle!) so that I can get some extra liquids in you.

You finally are sitting up by yourself, although I still have to keep an eye on you to make sure that you don't fall and crash your head on the floor. You main mode of transportation is still rolling around and you're getting to be quite fast at it. I've also caught you a couple times almost up on your hands and knees, which means that crawling might be around the corner soon! You still love your Jolly Jumper and can happily bounce in there for quite a while sometimes, which means that Mommy can get stuff done around the house.

You really love music, and it doesn't seem to matter what kind. As soon as I turn the music on, you're happy and quiet and just enjoy it. It's the same when the girls are watching TV or playing on their video games. You just love the music and sounds and that seems to make you pretty happy most days.

You still only have your 2 bottom teeth, although I can tell that your top ones are trying to make their way through. But the smiles that I get with those 2 teeth as so cute! I'll keep them for a while.

You are a noisy little bugger though. I think you're noisier than your sisters were. And that's saying something! You have this weird noise that you make, which usually signals Mommy that you're tired or hungry or just want to be held. It's nice that you're trying to communicate with Mommy and Daddy, but the noise is really annoying, especially when Daddy is trying to study for his college tests.

You are a joy to be around, and a joy to have.

Love you little buddy.

Love, Mom.
