2016 Project Life | Week 02

Image
Week 2 of 2016 is in the books! And it was a very busy/productive week here in the Neufeld household. On Monday I ended up taking almost 3 hours to transform the Spare Room into the Play Room , which cleared a lot of room in my living room. It was also the week of getting a new Guinea Pig that Violet named Elsa, visiting my grandparents, and having some outings. Like I've stated before, I'm using the Project Life App to document this year. For this week I used cards from the Project 52 2016 Edition , along with some Photoshop skills.   This week was pretty easy to put together, thanks to notes on my phone and a pretty easy selection of photos to choose from.

2016 Project Life - Week 01

Hello Week 01 of my 2016 Project Life album! I'm starting off my album with my 101 in 1001 list that I posted a couple days ago. As the week only starts on a Friday and would maybe take 1 page, I thought I'd take the first page and list my 101 list there. It was pretty simple to set up. I just took my list, figured out how many goals I can fit onto one 4x6 card, change the background colour, and voilà! Done and complete. And it also helps me have a record of the goals that I want to have accomplished. As the year(s) go on, I do have an idea of how I'm going to mark off what I've done, but it's not quite set in stone yet. And here's the actual week 1: This week was pretty simple to put together. It also helped that the 1st was on a Friday, so I only had 3 days to document. I chose my favourite 3 photos over those couple days, paired it with some journalling and filler cards (again, all from the Project 52 Kit) and found the "Love this" over at A Vegas ...

2016 Project Life - Title Page

Image
Hello 2016 Project Life !! This is my 4th year doing this project (I started in 2012) and I'm still in love with it. Yes I'm still catching up on my 2015 album, but I really do love it! This year I'm decided to exclusively use the Project Life App , and mainly using the Project 52 Kit this year. I would like to stick to one kit this year and I like the look and versatility of this one. For my Title Page, I went with the family photos that we took back in November and the rest of the cards are from the Project 52 Kit. On the "Hi" card, I wrote down the year and our corresponding ages that we would be this year. It was pretty simple to put together, and I'm pretty happy with it!

May 2015 Project Life (Weeks 19-22)

Image
Weeks 19-22 Week 19:  Again, lots of playing outside, good food and grocery shopping. And since this week covered Mother's Day, Keith had homemade bread and Spinach Dip ready for me when I got home from work that Sunday. Have I mentioned that he's the best?! Kits used: Project Life Everday Adventure, quote card from Elise Joy. Week 20:  Of course, you always have to have a week that just starts off wonky, right? Well, that was this week. Violet came down with a double ear infection and a sinus cold that had us in the hospital for 5 hours on a Monday night. We got there around 8:30pm and didn't leave until 1am. Very long night indeed. Otherwise, it was a routine week. Week 21:  Again, more of the same stuff this week. Violet went away to her Grandma's for the night, visiting the Splash Park, and finding worms for the garden. Week 22:  This is the week that I turned 30. Keith took me out for supper while my Mom took the girls for the day (!! Best Mom Ever!!), we visite...

April 2015 Project Life (Weeks 15-18)

I was in the mood to scrapbook last week and got quite a bit done when I could. It's especially handy now that I do all my Project Life on their app. More convenience and easier! Here's my layouts for April. Week 15:  Not much going on this week. Visiting great-grandparents, shenanigans around the house, lots of playing with Lego and riding horses. Kits used: Love Story, Everyday Adventure. Week 16:  This week included lots of playing outside, family date to Mongo's for supper, knitting and more playing. Week 17, 1st spread:  This was a busy week. This first spread is the beginning of the week, and Dominique's Smash Cake that she had for her 1st birthday. She absolutely loved it. Week 17, 2nd spread:  The left side of this spread is Dominique's 2 birthday parties that she had for her 1st birthday (split families suck. That's all I'm saying). The right side is usual stuff that goes on, including getting both girls to ride horses. Week 18:  This week was back t...

As always with this year, I did all these pages on the Project Life App, using a couple different kits and some odd stuff thrown in from my computer, including quotes from Elise Joy. February 2015 Project Life

Image
Whew, it's been a while since I've posted anything for Project Life. Like I said in my last post, I hit a slump during May. But it's nice to be posting these again. Like usual, I've been using the Project Life App, mainly using the Kiwi Kit, with some other stuff thrown in for fun. And it seems to be working. And it's easy for me to keep up, even when I fall behind several weeks. So without further waiting, here's the February Project Life pages. For Week 6, I used a combination of Kiwi and Seafoam, along with the quote cards from Elise. A pretty normal week, including Keith sending me a photo of an frozen artisan well (thank you plumber hubby), and the start of our indoor garden with Keith's hot peppers. For Week 7, I stuck mainly with the Kiwi kit, along with some other elements from my computer (via dropbox). And our surprise Valentine's Date that Keith planned. Week 8 was a normal-ish week here at home. Lots of play time, cooking (like always) and kn...

January 2015 Project Life

Image
I've decided to share a monthly look at my Project Life pages for 2015. It's much easier for me to do this as I don't have to worry about keeping up every week. I just do a post at the end of the month and voilà, done. All my layouts are created in the Project Life app (only available on iDevices right now), with some editing done on my computer and input into the app via Dropbox. I'm mainly using the Kiwi Kit (available on the app) for 2015, with some odd other kids thrown in when needed. Here's the layouts for January 2015. Week 1: Not much going on this week. I'm also including a quote card that I found on Elise Joy's site (I'll be doing that every week for 2015). Week 2: Again, not much going on. Visiting family, making cheesecake cupcakes with Keith. The usual. Week 3: A bit more going on here. Grocery shopping, new yarn purchases, and time with Daddy Week 4: This week was busy. Family nap time, family date night, night out at Celebrations Dinner Th...

June Project Life 2014: Weeks 24 - 26

Image
So I'm changing some things up here. Instead of trying to blog every week my Project Life layouts (which is failing miserably), I've decided to just blog once a month about them instead. Makes it way easier on me, especially if I'm falling behind. And only one post a month! Onto the remainder of June's layouts! Week 24 (June 8-14, 2014) What we did this week: Not much really. Lots of walks, visiting with family. Documented Dominique's sleep schedule and what Violet is up to lately.  Supplies Used: Messy Weekly Lines ; journal cards from Midnight and Baby Girl , Hello Awesome is cut on my Silhouette Cameo .   Week 25 (June 15-21, 2014) What we did this week: Celebrated Father's Day, lots of cuddles with Dom, taking the girls to see How To Train Your Dragon 2 (Violet LOVED it!! Dom slept through it) and the usual stuff. Supplies used: Messy Weekly Lines ; journal cards from Cinnamon ; filler card from Baby Girl ; Week 26 (June 22-28, 2014) What we did this week:...

Project Life 2014: Weeks 22+23

Image
Welcome to Project Life 2014: Week 22 (May 25-31)! A lot of good family time and snuggles this week. And it was nice. I've been keeping my layouts really simple lately, although I'm hoping to do some more embellishing with upcoming layouts. I have to plan when I'm going to be working on Project Life, which is mainly during the girls' afternoon nap. But then my bed calls for me and I end up sleeping as well. Thankfully, once the girls' are in bed in the evening, I can usually have 2-3 hours of quiet, but then I try to spend it with Keith. Balancing priorities. Again, I've been using the Messy Weekly Lines to mark the week, which I like a lot. It's nice because I can use a scenic photo or one that doesn't have a lot of "stuff" on there instead of using a Title Card. And it looks good too! And still using all the journal cards from the Project Life Midnight Kit . Love them. Why yes! I did catch Dominique smiling. And she's so full of them the...

Project Life 2014 - Weeks 20 + 21

Image
Welcome to Project Life 2014, Week 20 (May 11-17)! Sorry about the lack of regular posting lately. Time got away from me and I didn't realize how long it's been. I'm going to try to do catch-up posts over the next week to get up to speed. Week 20 of 2014. Not a whole lot going on, except for Violet taking 10 years off my life in one week , visiting with my grandparents and family time. "Week Twenty" is from Messy Weekly Lines and the date is font Sunday Comics. Yellow journal card is from PL Baby Girl Kit . Black and White journal card is from the PL Midnight Kit . "Love It" flair is from Two Peas in a Bucket (who, sadly, are closed now). The "# Heart Happy . I was creative enough to spread it across two 3x4's and have it positioned perfectly for cutting it. Yeah! I used my Pink Sharpie Paint Pen for the upper left photo. And it worked out pretty good! Geo tag is from Studio Calico, journal card is from PL Midnight and the digital stamp is fro...
