Ramblings of a Stay-at-Home Mom

You are 10 months old today Silly Goose!! You come in at 21lbs and 28 inches long. You are always full of smiles and giggles these days and in general just a happy baby. And you’ve been busy lately figuring out how to do things. You learned how to clap, which you are very proud of because everytime you clap for Mommy, you have a huge smile and giggle. You also like to do the “Tarzan” and do belly drums on yourself while you laugh crazily. You also figured out how to walk forwards in your walker! And since you figured out how to do this, you like to aim for Mommy’s feet, try to run over the dog, open up the garbage can (and pinch your fingers in there), try to open up the bottom cupboards, and pull things out of the recycle bin. And the entire time that you’re zooming around the kitchen, you are “talking” constantly. You also figured out how to get out of the kitchen in the walker, which scares Mommy a bit, because that means that Mommy’s house is no longer safe!! You’re also sitting up

Repeat after me: I will get caught up...I will get caught up...I will get caught up... Right? I am working on a couple back-logged posts right now as all the kids are sleeping. I'm baby-sitting my 4-year-old nephew and 3-year-old niece and since it's nap-time, they are attempting to sleep in our bed. I'm hoping that works out and that they do sleep. V is sleeping away in her room, so there's no worries there and Jasmine (the dog) is currently lounging in the living room with no one bugging her. I guess part of the reason for me being behind in blogging is the amount of photos I have. It was Pioneer Days in town over the Long Weekend, so it comes complete with a parade (over 100 photos there) and a Horse Fun Show on Monday (almost another 100 photos there as well). Currently uploading everything to Photobucket and then will post here. Whew! Never mind trying to get the grocery list/menu for the next two weeks done, get stuff ready for supper, remember to take the dog out

Had a pretty good day today, but it did get off to a rough start.  Violet got up 3 times last night (around 1:30, 3 and 5) and I was just utterly exhausted this morning. I was going to try to keep on getting up with Keith around 6am so that I could have a quiet morning to do my devotions until Violet got up around 8:30. But I slept until Violet woke up around 8:30. Oops. Once we were both awake and fed, I got my stuff and Violet ready to go watch the Pioneer Days Parade that Steinbach does the Friday of the August Long Weekend. Seeing as trying to find a parking spot is just crazy, and it’s on Main Street which is a couple blocks away, I put Violet in the stroller and walked down there. I even managed to find Mike and Lisa and sit with them while the parade was going. Violet wasn't too sure about all the loud noises, but she did pretty good. She wasn’t a big fan of the bag-pipers though. All in all it was a pretty good parade and managed to get some good pictures of it as well. Tha
