Intentions for the Week - January 8, 2018

Happy New Year! I'm gonna try to get back on my To-Do lists for around the house. I slacked quite a bit during Christmas Break and you could tell. It's been really helpful/calming for me to have a clean house and makes doing everything a whole lot easier.  This Week's Intentions: Get Violet back on her school schedule. Get the girl's back to Awana's. Start attending Pre-School/Mom's Group. Deep clean the kitchsn. Wash all the windows inside. Work on Violet's Lego corner in her room. Take Zach to his specialist appointment. Continue working on my Geek-Along blanket. Do some meal planning/meal prep for next week. Complete my December Daily 2017 album.  Post my pages for DD 2017. Dear Zachary | 6 months

Happy 6 months Zach!  My little sack of potatoes. You've gotten a bit on the hefty side lately and I'm guessing that you're around 23lbs right now. But that's totally fine with me. I know that will melt off once your start getting actively mobile, so for now I'll enjoy my chunky baby cuddles.  You love eating whatever food I put in front of you, especially sweet potatoes and prunes. It still takes some time to get you onto new flavours, but for the most part it's pretty easy feeding you right now.  You have 2 bottom teeth and you're chewing on everything. And I mean everything. Your toys, the dogs toys, your sisters toys. All your clothes. Basically anything you can get yours hands on, you chew on. Very content sleeper and traveler. You sleep basically anywhere I put you and am pretty content when you are in the car seat and travelling.  Rolling over both ways. Which also means that you are starting to get stuck everywhere as well. B

2018 Goals:

1) Start taking better care of myself: fitness, food, sleep: I feel like this one is almost a no-brainier, but I also feel the need to put it on the list. My self-care has been pretty non-existent since having the kids, and I really need to change that.  I did join the gym in November, and it's been really good for my brain to check out of Mommy-mode for about an hour 3 times a week. Right now I'm just focusing on getting strength back and toning up, not worrying about any weight loss or gain, as I'm still currently nursing Zach and I need to make sure that I'm eating enough for the both of us right now and not worrying about calorie counting. Speaking of food, that is also another part of my self-care that has lacked recently. I need to start being more conscious of what kind of food I'm eating and try to limit my junk intake. My sleep is also a big part of my self-care that has taken a hit. At this point, I place all the blame on nursing Zach at night
