Ramblings of a Stay-at-Home Mom

  I finished up my 2017 Week in the Life album about a week after the project ended, but I haven't posted my finished layouts on here. A couple things I found out this time around: 1) I really need to think ahead a couple weeks (or even a month) and figure out what shots I really want to get, journaling prompts, etc. and write them all down. I found out as I was going through my photos at the end of the week that I had no family shots and very few of Keith. Which really sucks. Any photo that I was in was taken either with the self-timer or selfie-mode. And that sucks. 2) I should really save up some money and buy the digital kit for next year. Ever since I had to wipe my old laptop (and forgot to save all my digital stuff), and then got the new laptop, I've been struggling with digital embellishments. And for some reason, I never get around to buying the digital kit for the year. Happy 3rd Birthday Dominique!!!! 5:28am | Up early again for work. Thankfully I start a. It later on Sunday's, but not by much. 6:12am | I managed to sneak my phone past my boss (shhh!) and grab a photo of the sunrise as it was coming up. I can't see them from when I live, and with my work overlooking a park, it's perfect. And the colours were amazing! 10:32am | Got sent home early from work as it was completely dead, so I got the girls' and myself changed and got ready for church. 28 weeks pregnant with the little guy and I'm starting to feel like a small whale!! Also noted, I usually don't wear make-up (ask the hubby), so I decided that since I had some extra time before we had to leave, that I'd put some on. Just basic stuff, but it does make a difference! 11:47am  | Enjoying the message from Pastor Kris this morning. And it's always good when we can make it to church and Sunday School. And as always, I have my notebook for notes and a tea with me.

4:45am | I have the extra early morning shift at work this morning and walk into the living room to see Violet and her cousin Maddy sleeping on the hide-a-bed. Sneaky picture for the win! And although I like working the 5am-1pm shift, I'm looking forward to no more 4am wake-up calls soon! Also, noting the messy kitchen on my way out.  4:57am | Getting to work with seconds to spare. Sleeping in wasn't the plan this morning, but luckily I'm not that far from work. And I was even on the floor on time! 7:33am | Waking up late also meant that I forgot to grab food from home before I left. And seeing as I can't eat the breakfast that we have at work (little guy doesn't like it), I settle for some muffins. Not the most nutritious, but they will do. 10:50am | Really busy day at work means that I need an energy boost around this time. Ice cappuccino it is! 1:29pm | Finally done work for the day and need to run to the grocery store to pick up a couple items. Yes, a Cherr
