Fasting Time

After reviewing how I spend my time, and talking with the Hubby, I've decided to say goodbye to FaceBook (for the next week) and to severely limit Internet time. More explanation to come. Adios!!!

Project Life 2013 - Week 3

Image
This week wasn't too eventful, but remember I mentioned that my car blew up last week? Yeah, turns out that the timing belt skipped and jammed up the entire engine. So there goes $3000 for a new engine, parts, labor and 1-year warranty. Not something we needed in the beginning of the year. Oh, and Violet also learnt how to blow kisses (favorite thing now) and getting more confidence in walking. Hoping that she'll be walking by herself soon. That has been one thing that has been getting me down a bit lately, is that fact that she is "behind" in her mobility. She realized about a month ago that rolling over won't kill her and does it without thinking now. The walking though, she's not too sure of. If you offer her your hand, she'll grab it and start running. And she does walk by herself in between furniture. Keith says that she's not really adventurous, so that might be it. I don't know. I just can't wait until she starts walking by herself. Lef

Project Life 2013 - Week 2

Image
Here's Week 2 of Project Life. Let's just say that this week was a bit boring. Me and Keith both got the stomach flu that went around. Luckily Violet didn't get it. Phew! And then I got a nasty cold which kicked me back onto my butt. I swear this week hated me. Oh, and to top it all off?! My car blew up. Well, actually, the engine did. Not quite the way I wanted to start 2013 off. Left side of layout Right side of layout

Project Life 2013 - Week 1

Image
As I am keeping up with my weekly scrapbooking, I'm going to try to do an update on a weekly schedule instead of monthly. I am quite excited to be doing Project Life again (previously known as Week in Review), as I've found so many other scrappers out there, doing the exact same thing, whether it be traditional (paper), or digital (like I do). I do have to say Thank You to Becky Higgins for creating Project Life and to Ali Edwards for giving me the inspiration to keep doing this week after week. Left side of layout Right side of layout It is supposed to be a 2-page layout, but for some odd reason, Blogger isn't letting me put them side by side.

Family Evening Out

Since knowing that Les Miserables was coming to the big screen theatres, I've been trying to find a way to go and take my Mom as she loves musicals as well. And then both my sisters found out and said that they wanted to go see it as well. It was decided yesterday that we would go today. Short notice, but it works. And yes, I was excited! Sam came to pick me up close to 5 and we just had to wait for Keith to get home so that he could watch V and for my Mom to show up as Natalie was with her as well. Once they all showed up, we were off! Got to the theatre in good time and Mom paid for our tickets as a Christmas gift to all of us. Me and Sam quickly ran over to Wal-Mart to pick up some things and so that I could pick up a new comforter. And I found one for $20! Woot! That was followed by a quick trip to Chapters and I found a book that I've been looking for Violet. Robert Munsch's I'll Love You Forever. And for only $6! Once we were done our quick running around, we foun

Christmas 2012

The Christmas season has come and gone in a flash yet again, but it was a good one this year, despite the increased number of gatherings we had to go to. Separated/divorced parents on both sides will do that. It was a bit of a bittersweet Christmas though. This was the first year that my Grandma Wiebe wasn't at Christmas Eve at my Dad's place as she had died back in November. This was the first Christmas with my parents separated and that in itself was a bit hard. First Christmas without Dollar, my beloved horse whom I put down back in June. So there was no horse riding on Christmas Eve this year. And the last Christmas at my childhood house as it sold in the beginning of December and my Dad's moving in February. But it was still a good one, with good memories made. Violet got to actually participate in Christmas this year and has been enjoying her toys that she received, especially having Mommy read The Grinch Who Stole Christmas over and over again. Think she likes that b

December Daily 2012 - Day 31

For New Year's Eve, we went to a poker game that one of our friends was putting on. It was a no-kids night, so Violet went to Poppa's place for the night as we didn't know when we were getting home. Keith played poker while I read my book and watched The Walking Dead marathon. Keith walked away with $30 and we got home around 1:30am.   Stuff used: StoryBook Creator ; Creative Memories Holiday-Whimsical kit (free download only); Elizajane font (title); Catholic SchoolGirls font (journaling);
