Ramblings of a Stay-at-Home Mom

I finished The Kitchen House and The Help within a week, so I needed a something that wasn't so history-ish heavy. Playing Super Mario 3D Land on my 2DS. Violet really wants me to save Princess Peach, so I try to play a bit every night before she goes to bed. Watching Chef's Table on Netflix. Oh so yummy. Knitting the Groot square for the 2017 blanket Doing a lot of journaling and scrapbooking catch-up. It sucks when I fall behind (especially the journaling), but at least I leave notes so that I know what happened that day. Loving Violet's Kindergarten report card. 3's and 4's across the board! Hating the headaches and colds that have sprung up around the house lately. Both girls' got hit with colds and slight ear infections and I've been battling headaches on and off all week. Thinking of planning a Family Date for next week.

Reading The Kitchen House. Just finished it and loved it. Watching Toy Story 2 quite a bit. It's Dominique's favourite movie and the only one she really requests on her own. Cooking not a lot lately. Keith's trying a different diet, which means that he can't eat a lot of what we're eating right now. I'm lucky if I cook twice a week right now. Knitting the Gambit square from the 2017 Geek-Along blanket. Loving that Violet still loves Kindergarten and her teacher. Hating that the entire house (minus Keith, lucky guy) has been sick. The girls' took turns with Dominique being the worst and I just caught it mildly (thankfully). Feeling pregnant at 18 weeks. The belly has popped out and I just started feeling some flutters 😊

Playing Minecraft with Violet on the PS3. I'm really impressed with her problem solving and her hand-eye coordination is getting much better! Watching Chef's Table on Netflix. So. Much. Yummy. Food.  Knitting the Gambit square for the 2017 Geek-Along Blanket. Going out with some friends this evening and letting the kids play like crazy. Loving that Dominique is basically potty trained during the day and staying in her panties all day long! She hasn't had an accident since last week Hating that I screwed up my 2016 Geek-Along blanket big time. I accidentally used different yarns when knitting some squares and when I was putting it together, I realized that some squares were bigger than others and makes it almost impossible to put it together. I just want to cry. Discovering how much Dominique picks up from Violet. She's trying to count and say her ABC's and do everything her big sister does. Enjoying some quiet mornings around here.
