Ramblings of a Stay-at-Home Mom

Day in the Life Waking up at 5:30am with Keith. He goes off to the gym while I curl up on the couch with my knitting and a hot cup of coffee. Getting kids up for the morning. Making breakfast for me, Violet and Zach. Dominique opted for Lucky Charms this morning. Prepping myself for the day. A quick shower, hair, and make-up to get me going for the day. Sending kids off to school. I love that they can walk to the bus stop by themselves. Cleaning up the kitchen and getting the slow cooker ready for supper.   Getting me and Zach off to Selah/Mom's Group. He stayed in his underwear the whole time and had no accidents! Shopping for groceries this morning. Got everything on my list! Appreciating a random stranger offering to snowblow my driveway. Yay! Sitting down with my knitting and Imagineering on Disney+ and then having a 20 minute nap on the couch. Loving that the girls are home from school. Talking with my bes...

Waking up at 5:30am, grabbing a cup of coffee and sitting down to work on my knitting until it’s time to get the kids up for the day. Getting kids ready for the day/school. Violet & Dominique usually get their breakfasts ready by themselves, so I just have to focus on myself and Zachary. Preparing myself for the day. A quick shower, real clothes and make-up done. Loving that Zachary still wants to help Keith make his morning green smoothie. Getting big kids off to school. Today is also Dominique’s day for kindergarten, so she goes with Violet to the bus stop. Gathering my stuff to go to Pre-School this morning. Zach was trying to convince me to take the sleds to school. Grabbing myself a tea when we got to Pre-School. I needed the warmth. Loving that I get to volunteer in Zach’s Pre-School class every other week. I love watching him interact with the toys and other kids. Picking up lunch for me & Keith from Bigg Smoak. ...

Day in the Life - January 29, 2020 5:15am | I hear Zach whimpering from his room and calling for his water bottle, so I go find it, comfort him a bit (think he had a bad dream) and then crawl back into bed for 10 minutes before Keith is up and going to the gym. I grab my coffee and go sit down on the couch to work on my knitting (which I'm really hoping to get done by this weekend). 6:30am | Start getting kids up for the day. Zach was already standing at his gate, waiting for me to open it up. Violet (as usual) was a bit harder to get up. Got the kids breakfasts going and Keith got home from the gym and started getting himself ready for work. 8am | Keith started getting his stuff ready to go, which also meant that he had to blend up his smoothie. And of course, Zach is always up for helping Daddy blend his smoothies. Keith heads off to work, and I send Violet off to school shortly after and then start getting Dom & Zach ready to go to Zach's haircut ap...
