Ramblings of a Stay-at-Home Mom

Why hello blog! Long time no see (almost)! After putting off my scrapbooking for a while, I'm finally getting back into it and wondering why I let it sit on the wayside for a while. I was debating for a bit to go back to doing my scrapbooking Project Life style, but I looked up prices of printing everything off, and doing this size (8.5x11) was still way cheaper than doing a 12x12. I figured I'll just find a way to incorporate the filler cards that I like to my scrapbook pages. Once that decision was made, it was pretty easy to sit down one evening and whip up a couple weeks worth of pages. I'm still working on coming up with some new layouts, just so that I'm not using the same designs every time. But I love how these ones turned out!! Week 18:  This was a bit of a busy week, especially for Violet. She had her eye appointment (20/20 vision!) and also her year-end awards for Cubbies. She got her book completion and was very proud of herself! Week 19: Another busy week

Seeing as we're half-way through August, I decided to do a quick update on our Summer Bucket List. We've made some pretty good progress with checking things off the list, and with only a couple weeks to go (I'm ending the list on September 6, 2016), it still gives us a bit of time to get some more done! This summer has passed by really fast, and seeing as Keith is starting college next week (!!) and Violet starts Kindergarten (!!!) in 3 weeks, I know that this Fall will bring a lot of changes, but it's reassuring to know that we had a good summer as a family. Go to the water slides - August 17, 2016  We surprised the girls with a trip to the local water slides last week. Both girls really loved being able to play in the water and go down the slides multiple times. Let me tell you, mine and Keith's legs got workouts that day: up the hill, down the slide, repeat 300 million times. Welcome to Day in the Life! The original date for this (if you follow Ali Edwards), was on July 30. But as I work all weekends, it didn't make sense for me to document a Saturday, when I couldn't take photos half the day because I'm at work. So I opted for Monday to do my project. And it was an awesome day to document it. We had planned for Monday to be our Date Day, as the girls were going to be at Grandma's all day, so we headed out to the city and had some quality time together. Enjoy! 9:00am |  This morning started off with sleeping in (!!) and waking up to the morning greeting by this little one. 10:45am | The kids are off to Grandma's house for the day and me and Keith took a bit of time this morning to enjoy some coffee and catch up before heading out on our Date Day. 11:00am |  On our way for our Date Day! 12:15pm |  Got to the city for our Date Day and it's raining hardcore, so we're bumming around the mall instead, killing time. 12:33pm |  Of cou
