Project Life 2013 - Week 8

Image
Finally not too bad of a week. Violet started walking all on her own and without using walls once in a while for support (yeah!!) and she's almost running! Wow! We also got a nice blizzard on the Stat Holiday Monday and Keith had some guys out to play WarHammer. Left side of layout And yes, I got a photo of Violet crying. It was priceless :). Don't worry, I consoled her afterwards. She was just mad about something. I also introduced Violet to Star Trek: Next Generation on Friday. She seemed to like it. Right side of layout. As our Saturday plans got cancelled because of them being sick, I watched Keith battle his WarHammer Space Marines vs. Tyranids. The Tyranids won! Project Life 2013 - Week 7

This week was a bit crazy with Violet being sick from Thursday to Saturday evening with a stomach flu. It even warranted a visit to the ER to see if something was seriously wrong. Luckily nothing was, and we were told to go home a rest. Phew! Project Life 2013 - Week 6

Image
Week 6 has come and gone already. This year is just starting to fly by! What has happened this week? Let me count the ways... 1) Violet has been rolling around everywhere and attempting to crawl. Yes she is 15 months old and trying to walk as well, but she's getting really ambitious and realized that being on the tummy is no big deal anymore and laughs when she's rolling around my kitchen, sits up, grabs the chair to stand and go walking around the house (via walls and furniture). 2) I had Brody and Madison twice this week. My house was loud, and it was nice. And even with 3 kids running around the house, it wasn't chaotic. 3) Finally got around to decluttering V's closet . 10 diapers boxes full of old clothes (too small for her). I went through all of them and ended up keeping 4 boxes full (clothes, blankets, car seat cover, nursing cover, etc.), while the other 6 went to the local thrift store. Her closet looks much better! 4) Violet has discovered windows and that th

Decluttering

I decided to declutter V's room this past week. Wow! Her closet was full of boxes that had all her clothes she didn't fit into anymore and 1 box that she was growing into. After pulling all the boxes out (around 10 diaper boxes FULL), I got to work going through each box, figuring out what I wanted to keep and giving the rest to MCC (the local thrift store). In the end, V now has a cleaner closet and 6 boxes of clothes and stuff went to the MCC, with me keeping 4 boxes. Pulling out everything from the closet Going through everything Ta-da!! Much better!!!

Early Valentine's Gift

Image
Because Valentine's falls on a Thursday this year, Keith decided to get me some gifts early. He had given me some Hugs and Kisses chocolates early last week. And then when we made an impromptu trip into the city after I was done work, we stopped by Teavana and he decided to get me more stuff. And by stuff I mean a Tea Tumbler in red (they didn't have any pink) and 2 bags if looseleaf tea: a bag of Rooibos Chai and one bag of Earl Grey. I have the bestest Hubby ever!!!

Project Life 2013 - Week 5 and Intro Page

Image
So I finally finished my Intro Page! Ta-da!! And this week wasn't too exciting. Had my 4-year-old nephew and 3-year-old niece for an entire day. And it was fun! My house was quite loud, but that didn't bother me. The one thing I was proud to get done with them here was a complete and thorough vacuum of the entire house with the regular vacuum and shop vac! Including my couches, in which the kids helped and then pretended that the couches were either a castle or a hill. Silly kids. Intro Page (finally!!) A Day In The Life - January 31, 2013

Image
I must be really ambitious with my scrapbooking lately. Not only am I doing my Porject Life, I'm also going to be doing A Day In The Life on the last day of every month and probably (hopefully!!) A Week In The Life in fall. Crazy! A Day in the Life is bascially documenting your entire day (from when you wake up to when you go to sleep) with writing and photos. Click here for more details. As yesterday was the last day of January, it was time! And here's the resulting layout. Left side of page Right side of page
