Ramblings of a Stay-at-Home Mom

Saturdays are for sleeping in while the kids watch cartoons quietly. So glad that the girls know how to put on Netflix and pick their cartoons sit there quietly. Saturdays are for Daddy making pancakes for breakfast. The girls really love when Daddy makes breakfast. Saturdays are for cleaning out the girl's clothes closet and Lego corner. I took out almost half of their clothes from their closet and it looks so much better! We also cleaned up the mess that was the LEGO corner and it looks a bit better. Saturdays are for running errands and washing the van. Violet joined me and we got Slurpees while we did our errands. 5:30am - I wake up as Keith is getting ready to head to the gym. And Ruby, as usual, is happy to see us first thing in the morning. Once Keith leaves, I sit down with hot coffee and my Devotions. 6:30am | I hear Zach start squeaking and talking from his room, and moments later the girls are both awake and coming out of their room. I start getting Zach's breakfast ready while the girls figure out what they want and start getting ready for the day. 7am  | Keith gets home from the gym, has his shower and makes his breakfast while I feed Zach and make sure that the girls eat their breakfast. Told Violet that of she is done everything for school quickly, that she could play Donkey Kong on the SNES Mini before she left for school. 4am | Get woken up by Ruby (the dog) making a ton of noise in her Kennel. Go to see what the issue is and walk into the living room smelling like dog shit. Turns out that Ruby had shit in her kennel and needed to go out again. Let her out, clean up the mess as best I could, bring her back in and crawl back into bed. 5:30am | Keith is up and going to the gym and suggests that I drag my butt out of bed to clean up the rest of the dog shit mess before the kids get up. And he bribes me with coffee. So I get up, kick Ruby outside again, take apart her giant pillow (ewww....), throw it in the washer and then realize that she had gotten liquid shit behind her kennel and on the carpet. Which means that I had to bust out my cleaning supplies, clean her kennel and my carpet, throw baking soda on the carpet and now wait for it to dry before I can vacuum it up. 6:15am | Sit down with some hot coffee and my book study.
