Dear Violet,
Happy 6th Birthday big girl!

As per usual, here are some current things about you on your birthday.
You are a very highly energetic girl. You are almost always on the move, anywhere we go. You’re always running around outside, playing tag with your friends or running around the garden with Dominique and getting Ruby the puppy to chase you. You find it hard to sit still right now, but I really don’t blame you. It’s hard to keep those long legs contained!
You are very loving and caring. You always look out for other kids if they get hurt, especially when it comes to your sister and brother. You go to help Zach when he’s crying and Mom’s busy making supper and usually make silly faces at him so that he’ll smile his big toothless grin at you. You help Dominique when she’s having trouble with something and help calm her down. You also help your friends at school and that makes me so proud.
You’re very helpful with everything. Whether it’s helping Zach or Dominique, helping Mom around the house or doing stuff on your own without being told, you’re always willing to help.

You’re a very quick learner. Your speech therapist in school has said that you are doing awesome with your speech issues and will most likely be done with the program before Christmas! You’re pretty good at problem solving and figuring out how things work. You’re really good at memorizing Bible verses for Awana’s, often doing 2-3 verses at time.
You’re very friendly to all kids that you meet, whether it’s at school or the park, you’re always willing to talk to new kids and make friends with them. And I love that.
You like to be funny whenever you can, especially if you can get Dominique laughing at you and get smiles out of Zach.
You have a creative streak in you. You love to color and paint during “quiet time” and then ask me to hang everything up on the walls. You love to put together your Lego sets all by yourself and then spend hours playing with them at the kitchen table. You’re getting better at reading the instructions on the bigger sets and putting them together all by yourself.
You have a big love of video games. You are definitely your father’s daughter with how much you play your video games. Your hand/eye coordination has improved a lot since we let you start playing them, and it’s also a guarantee that it will occupy your time a bit when Mommy needs a bit of quiet in the house. You’re getting better at problem solving and figuring your way around things in the games. Right now, you’re playing LittleBig Planet, Minecraft and Rachet & Clank on the PS3.
You are extremely determined. You want to get better in everything you do, so you practice lots. If you’re given a goal to reach, you’re pretty good at reaching it and then some. Which is awesome.
You are such a joy to have around sweetheart. You are my sunshine and you brighten up every day with you big smiles.
