Ramblings of a Stay-at-Home Mom

This past weekend, me and Keith went up to Pine Wood Lodge, sans kids and dog. We had celebrated our 10 year Anniversary on Wednesday, and this was our getaway to celebrate. Thankfully Keith had enough foresight to book early last year already, as they were almost full. We left home Friday afternoon and didn't come back until Sunday afternoon. All 3 kids were at my Mom's and sister's place, and Ruby went to a Dog Kennel for the weekend. Which meant 48 hours of blissful quietness. Just the two of us. It was just the reset that we needed.

Taking the puppy out for a walk. She's really loving the nicer weather outside. Figuring out that the noisy toy is noisy. And loving it. The girls and their Awana's awards . Never disappointed by the food at Mom's Group Loved it. Still really conflicted about the ending...... Dominique's birthday party! Zach trying his first cupcake. He devoured an entire one.

Always so serious when he eats. Had to get Violet new outdoor shoes, as her previous ones had holes in them. And of course, they are bright pink and  light up. With the nice weather that we've been having, we finally got to enjoy our first Slurpee walk of the year! Gotta love homemade breakfast wraps He's finally figuring out his noisy toys. So proud of Violet for building something without instructions and using her imagination. Zach was trying to be sneaky about stealing Daddy's computer mouse. When you have a dog, that means that there's poop duty to be had. And if you have kids, then it's their turn to do poop duty. She's getting much better on our walks and even keeps her brain most of the time. Now to teach her not to pull too much when I'm pushing the stroller. He's trying to crawl!! Playing a new game with Keith called Shadespire My cuddly child. No seriously people, he's crawling. Where did my baby go??!! The other snuggly big kid. Had to make more baby food this week. Zach's going through it like no tomorrow! My days always have to start with coffee. Don't judge me. She really loves sleeping in my bed for naptimes. Love going to church on Sunday mornings. I can only imagine the trouble that these 2 are going to get in to. Love my smiling (albeit filthy) boy.
